Vacation 2005

This was supposed to be the photos of our trip to Central Asia, but the trip was cancelled in late spring when the State Department sent all non-essential employees out of the country.  We transferred to a tour of Libya scheduled for late September and early October.  That trip was cancelled the day we were supposed to fly, because Libya cancelled all visas to Americans.  Virginia and I quickly organized our own tour of the Southwest, visiting 13 State, Native American, and National Recreation Areas, Monuments, and Parks.  We covered over 3,000 miles in two weeks and then came home to rest.

The following links will display the images in a slide-show format. The default is for the images to be displayed automatically, but the "flow control" icons, the Left Arrow, Play/Pause button, and Right Arrow, shown below, can be used to override the default. It is also possible to click on one of the thumbnail images to move the display to that image.
Previous Image Play/Pause Next Image
The thumbnail images take a while to download. The center (Play/Pause) icon will not be displayed until all of the thumbnail images have been downloaded. Once all of the thumbnail images have downloaded, the center image will show a pause button. If you click on that button it will stop the slide show, and the image will change to a play button. The images display best on a monitor that is set to 1280x960 pixels or above.
